The running gag for Evangelion fans is that Shinji is a pussy but what everyone is neglecting to say is that unlike most middle schoolers Shinji pilots a giant cybernetic clone of his mother in an ongoing war against nearly indestructible monsters aimed at eradicating humanity and he lives with a penguin.
Sounds like a pretty badass motherfucker to me
